The American Heart Association’s BLS course trains healthcare providers to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate breaths and ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. The course reflects science and education from the updated 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
Christian Prechtl is an MD-PhD student at the University at Buffalo’s Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, with research focused on cancer biology and metabolism. His work has been published in major journals such as Cancer Research and Nature Communications. He studies glioblastoma, exploring how metabolic pathways influence tumor progression and gene regulation. Alongside his academic work, he co-runs Train for Taylor CPR Training, providing accessible, high-quality CPR & BLS training while supporting local community initiatives and philanthropy. Christian is passionate about bridging science and medicine, advancing translational research, and improving patient outcomes through innovation and education.
