Many dental practices think that dental insurance is something that only the administrative team needs to understand. I am here to tell you that that thought process is wrong. Dental insurance follows the patient throughout their journey through your dental practice. With proper training dental insurances can be both a benefit for your patient and profitable for your dental practice.
In this seminar you will be introduced to a new way of looking at dental insurance. Your team will learn how each one of them plays a part in that journey. Proper training of your team will equal profits for your practice tomorrow. Don’t let the insurance eat away at your profits and your team’s happiness.
Learning Objectives:
- How each team member interacts with the dental insurance.
- The importance of the first phone call.
- Proper verbiage when communicating with the patient regarding their expectations of their dental coverage and what it will pay for.
- Why the clinical team needs to understand insurance limitations and how it will improve your collections.
- Systems to have in place for accurate treatment planning.
- How to utilize technology for effective collections.
Bring your team and learn the best practices to get paid for the work you have done. Properly handling your insurance from start to finish will make for both happy patients and a fiscally sound dental practice. Dental insurance assists the patient in paying for treatment. Have your team learn the best practices that will allow for maximum reimbursement for your patient and cut down on billing the patient after the insurance pays.
