Alumni Speaker Series
Recommended for: General Dentists, Specialists, Hygienists, and Assistants
When dealing with a complex case, specialists in different fields of dentistry are usually involved. The best results are achieved when applying a “team approach”—from the stage of planning to the execution of the treatment. The periodontist is an important team member, especially in the treatment of patients with periodontal disease. During this program, we will discuss how to build a treatment plan in these complex cases and how to use periodontal treatment to achieve the best and most stable results.
Learning Objectives:
- Diagnose and see the impact of periodontal conditions on the prognosis of the tooth and dentition in complex treatment planning.
- Understand how to involve a periodontist in the treatment of complex cases through teamwork with general practitioners, prosthodontists, endodontists, and orthodontists.
- Understand how to build individual supportive periodontal treatment (SPT) as a key component for a successful and stable long-term treatment result.
