Hippocrates 300BC said “Disease starts in your gut.” Which health care professional oversees its entrance? The dental professional! Another dimension can be added to your chairside conversations. Few professionals are comfortable talking about the science of the microbiome and its 40 trillion single celled organisms that call the human body home. And Tik Tok style sound bites are not enough. Do your patients have the optimal microbiome or gut health to support whole body vitality? Our patients’ gut bacteria make very powerful anti-inflammatory agents when fed key nutrients. Learn what negatively impacts gut integrity: antibiotics, jet lag, fast food, artificial sweeteners, dry mouth, environmental toxins & what we dental pros can do about it! The latest science from the National Institute of Health shows the microbiome impacts overall health as much as our genes & the number one way to influence is your diet. Attend this insightful session & enjoy a novel path to lower your patients’ inflammatory burden.
Learning Objectives:
- Gain insight into Prebiotics, Probiotics & Postbiotics.
- Learn why NEW findings about your patients’ gut flora are shaking the very foundation of health & healing.
- Understand the relationship between your gut health and your emotional health.
- See how much your gut health influences your immune system, metabolism, digestion, energy levels and emotional well-being.
- Discover the foundational role of your patient’s gut integrity & their body’s immune system to put out the fires of gingivitis & periodontitis.
