Many of our patients participate in sports, whether as a weekend warrior or as part of an organized sport. We will look at how Sports Dentistry fits into your practice, identifying the type of mouth guard that will best protect your patients as well as best practices to treat dental trauma when it does occur.
Course Objectives:
- Have an understanding of how Sports Dentistry fits into the general dental practice.
- Understand dental trauma.
- Be able to identify different types of mouthguards and make recommendations for your patients.
David Croglio, DDS ‘87 is in private practice in Amherst, New York. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine. He has been the Team Dentist for the UB Bulls since 1994 and for the Buffalo Sabres since 2009.He is a member of the Peer Review Committee for the Eighth District Dental Society and a reviewer for the New York State Dental Journal.
